Beware What ATMs You Use
Not all ATMs are equal. Or at least not in terms of charges and security. While it might be very convenient to use the nearest ATM, make sure that it is your bank's ATM or if it isn't – that this is an ATM that will not charge you fees for the transaction. Also, if you are charged per transaction, try to limit the number of your transactions. For instance, instead of withdrawing $50 twice a day (when you need it), withdraw your weekly (or even better – monthly) amount in one transaction and then just pay cash.
